Hireoo vs Simplify: Autofill Copilot vs AI Job Agent (2026)

Simplify is an autofill copilot: a browser extension that fills application forms on company career sites while you review and press submit, with Simplify+ at $19.99 a week as of October 2026. Hireoo is an AI job agent for India: it finds fresh hiring posts, writes a tailored application email for each and sends it from your own Gmail, with no extension and a free plan of 10 job results a day. Pick Simplify for form-heavy career-site applications abroad; pick Hireoo for jobs in India.

The short verdict

If most of your applications go through company career sites and ATS forms (roles abroad, large multinationals, US internships), Simplify's Copilot will save you real time, its core is free, and it is the better pick for that workflow. If you are hunting in India, where so many openings arrive as hiring posts with an email ID rather than a long form, Hireoo does the finding, writing and sending for you from your own Gmail, and it is the better pick.

Two sentences; the rest of the page is the evidence, taken from Simplify's own pages. We built Hireoo, so weigh our side accordingly.

What Simplify does well

Simplify is one of the most liked tools in this category, and most of the liking is earned.

  • One-click autofill on company career sites. The homepage describes "a browser extension that autofills job applications on 100,000+ company career sites in one click". Jobscan's roundup describes it cutting a 15-minute form to about two minutes while you click submit (Jobscan), and a third-party roundup puts the extension at 4.9 out of 5 on the Chrome Web Store with 500,000+ users (bestjobsearchapps).
  • Honest about the human in the loop. Its help centre says you "can review and edit content generated in Resume Builder and Copilot before using it". You stay the one who presses submit, which also keeps you inside each site's terms of use.
  • Matching that explains itself. "Copilot, Simplify compares your resume against the requirements, skills, tools, and qualifications emphasized in a job description", per the same help article. You see why a job is a match before you spend time on it.
  • A real free tier. Matching, the résumé builder, the tracker and the extension are free after signup; Simplify+ is for tailoring, writing and Autopilot.
  • Recruiter introductions. The homepage positions Simplify as "a personal AI talent agent for job seekers" that gets you "introduced to recruiters". It is a human-mediated channel you do not control, but it exists.
  • Audience pages and company browsing. Dedicated entry points for internships, entry-level and experienced job seekers, plus a very large library of company pages by stage and industry, which is useful research even without the extension.

Where Simplify falls short for India

It needs a form to fill. Simplify's whole model assumes the job lives on a company career site with an application form. Across India, especially at startups, agencies, SMEs and in tier-2 cities, a large share of openings are posted as a hiring post with an email ID, shared in WhatsApp groups, or filled through referrals and walk-ins. There is nothing to autofill, so the Copilot has nothing to do.

Desktop first. The Copilot is a browser extension, and extensions do not run in mobile Chrome. If your job hunt happens on your phone, the part of Simplify that saves time is out of reach.

Dollar pricing by the week. Simplify+ is $19.99 a week or $39.99 a month as of October 2026, charged in US dollars with whatever forex markup your card adds. At any plausible exchange rate a single week of Simplify+ costs more than a month of Hireoo Pro.

Autopilot has no review step. The paid Autopilot "prepares and submits applications without a review step", 20 a week. That is convenient, but it is also the mode where a wrong answer to a screening question goes out under your name with nobody looking.

No India page, no rupees, no Hinglish. Nothing on the homepage or in the pricing article mentions India, and the interface and content are English-only.

It does not email anyone for you. The recruiter introductions happen through Simplify's own talent-agency side, on Simplify's terms. If a hiring post says "send your CV to hr@...", Simplify does not do that part; you are back to writing it yourself.

What Hireoo does differently

Hireoo is an AI job agent for job seekers in India, used through a chat in English or Hinglish. Unlike a copilot that waits for you to find a form, it does the finding: you describe the job you want in a sentence, and it finds fresh hiring posts from across the web (1,000+ fresh hiring posts every day), scores each against your résumé with a fit percentage and the reasons, writes a tailored application email for every job, and applies by emailing the hiring contact from your own Gmail. Access is send-only: it never reads your inbox, and every email sits in your Sent folder. You review and edit each one before it goes, or switch on auto apply for the results you pick (how it works).

Starter is ₹0 with 10 job results a day, a cover letter for every job and auto apply from Gmail. Pro is ₹499 a month for 25 job results a day, more cover-letter styles, an AI résumé rewrite and interview prep; the weekly Pro pass is ₹149 (₹99 festive offer until 31 December 2026), paid once, no auto-renew. No browser extension, no portal forms, and it works from a phone. The cover letter generator page shows the kind of email it writes for each job.

It does not track replies or opens (those land in your Gmail), does not send follow-ups (you send those), does not fill forms on job portals, does not promise interviews, and does not publish where its hiring posts come from.

Choose Simplify if… / Choose Hireoo if…

Choose Simplify if

  • Your applications are mostly forms on company career sites: multinationals, roles abroad, US internships.
  • You want a free autofill tool and are happy to click submit yourself on a laptop.
  • You already find the jobs and just want the forms done faster.
  • You may pay $19.99 a week for tailoring and Autopilot when you are in a sprint.

Choose Hireoo if

  • Your target is a job in India, where the application is an email more often than a form.
  • You want the finding, matching and writing done for you, not just the typing.
  • You want every application sent from your own Gmail, after you have read it.
  • You work from a phone, like chatting in Hinglish, and want to start at ₹0 or on a ₹99 weekly pass.

Can you use both?

Yes, and this pairing makes more sense than most, because the two tools never overlap. Simplify lives inside forms on company career sites; Hireoo lives in your Gmail, emailing hiring contacts it found in fresh hiring posts. A student applying to US internships through career sites and to Indian startups by email could run both all week without one stepping on the other. Two tips: keep the same résumé facts in both, and if a company has both a career page and a hiring post with an email ID, pick one channel rather than hitting both in the same week.

Frequently asked questions

You can install Simplify from India and it will autofill forms on company career sites wherever they are. What it cannot do is apply to the many Indian openings that have no form, only an email ID, and its pricing and content are not India-specific.

Copilot autofills and you click submit. Its help centre also describes an Autopilot option in Simplify+ that prepares and submits applications without a review step, with 20 auto-applies a week.

They speed up different steps. Simplify makes a form you already found faster to fill; Hireoo does the finding and writing too, then emails the hiring contact after you review. If your week is mostly forms, Simplify is faster; if it is mostly hiring posts, Hireoo is.
